Hot tips on using the Master's Library:

  • There are four basic rules to using a search engine:

    1. '+' means include, '-' means exclude

e.g. If you want to find all pages that have the words 'Fast' and 'Cars', but do not have the word 'Red', you would type +Fast +Cars -Red in the search engine.

    1. "means a phrase"

e.g. If you want to find all pages that have the phrase 'Fast blue cars', you would type "Fast blue cars"

    in the search engine.

    1. Combine words and phrases

e.g. If you want to find all pages that have the phrase 'Fast blue cars' and also the word 'Jaguar', you would type +"Fast blue cars" +Jaguar in the search engine.

  1. The trick is to ask yourself:

  • What words will a page, that has the information I'm looking for, have on it?

  • What combination of words will distinguish that page, from other similar pages?
